Laguna Beach

Our first summer in Arizona has been full of very hot, hot temperatures.  118 degree is pretty HOT and can be exhausting but we still will take the dry heat over the humidity in FL.  Actually during the monsoon season, which is now, our humidity rises.  The other day it was at 83%.  I started thinking I was back in Florida except for all the dirt around me.  Ha, Ha
The other thing of interest, with all these hot temperatures, it's hard to get cold water for a nice refreshing shower.  I can't wait till November when fall finally comes with some cooler temps.  We also get these wonderful duststorms.  Thankfully, we were not here for the BIG duststorm that got some national attention.  We were, I should say, the boys and I were enjoying ourselves in CA while Jeff was working.

We spent 4th of July in Laguna Beach.  It was so beautiful.  A nice bonding family weekend with daddy and a much needed break from the heat of AZ. Our time in CA made me realize how much I miss greenery and beautiful lush foilage, as well as, the ocean.  The boys of course couldn't wait to hit the water. No fear these boys!

Dad trying to relax while working at the same time.
Hanging out!
The boys and I ventured to San Clementis for the morning.  We had a nice time.

I don't think there is one place in CA that is not beautiful!

A trip to CA would not be complete without the boys trying
SURFING

Zach taking a break from the COLD water.

Those surfboards are way bigger than the boys. They had a tough time carrying them.
Well, the boys are hooked.  They are definitely becoming West Coast Boys!

June F/U

Well things have been hectic in the Price household.  Jeff and I have been busy painting and looking for new furniture for the house.  We realized that some of our furniture just does not work in this house so we have been trying to sell several items on Craigs List.  We actually have had some luck with that but we still have more things to sell.

Zach has been busy with Biztown.  Biztown is a program of Junior Achievement where the kids get a pretty comprehensive course on Economics and then some real hands on experience working at Biztown for the day.
Biztown operates just like a regular town and everybody has to interview for a job.  Zach interviewed for three jobs.  He was hired as a merchandiser for Best Buy working closely with the Geek Squad.
He had a blast!

I would highly recommend this program to anyone!  Zach learned so much.

Jason, on the other hand, has been busy going to class at ASU for a more comprehensive reading acceleration class.  His class goes for 5 weeks.  I can say, his reading has really improved with this program.

At the same with all this going on, both boys had been busy getting ready for a 5 day camp through Christ Church of the Valley to Prescott.  This was the first time the boys were going away without us and with people who we did not know.   They were excited but a little apprehensive especially as it got closer.
Both boys got haircuts before camp.  Don't they look handsome and so grown-up!
The big day finally came.

Loading the bus with luggage.

Meeting their camp counselor and their cabin mates.

One last picture with mom.

Dad ran to McD to get the boys egg Mcmuffins before
they took off.  Of course, they were hungry.

Five days later the boys returned.  Although they were exhausted,
they couldn't stop talking about all the fun things they did in camp.
They learned so much about God.
How we all crash everyday and God repairs us.
Amen.
I couldn't be prouder of my little men.  They are definitely growing up!
